Forges

Born in Madrid in 1942, he studied Telecommunications Engineering and Social Sciences. Recognised as one of the best Spanish graphic humorists, his drawings have appeared in La Codorniz, Pueblo, Ya, Hermano Lobo, Por Favor, Arriba, Informaciones, Diario 16, El Mundo and El País, among other publications.

 

He has also been a film director, his work including País, S.A. (1975) and El bengador gusticiero y su pastelera madre (1977). On TV he has made the series Vivir es lo que importa and 24 horas aquí. He has also contributed to radio programmes, such as Protagonistas, La ventana and No es un día cualquiera.

 

He has received numerous accolades for his drawings, including the Gold Medal for Merit in Work, in 2007; the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Art, in 2011, and the Ondas Mediterráneas Award in 2011.
