LiberPress Memorial Award 2010

The civilians killed in Marjayoun during the war in Lebanon (2006)

In the summer of 2006, after the abduction of some Israeli soldiers, the Israeli army invaded Lebanon. One of the sites where most civilians were massacred was the Marjayoun area, next to the Israeli border.

In memory of all those innocent deaths, of the members of the Red Cross who were murdered, in memory of all the fallen in the area, LiberPress bestowed the Memorial Award on the town of Marjayoun, so that its people, their sacrifice and their memory will always be remembered and respected.
