Born in Carcassonne, Languedoc, Pierre Jammes has worked for over 35 years as a lawyer and international negotiator. He travelled to various countries affected by serious problems of development and armed conflicts and later returned to Saint Marcel sur Aude in France to devote himself to viticulture, writing and photography.
Those trips changed his feelings and the way he observed things and people, although, for ethical reasons, out of respect and because of the discretion necessary for his missions, he took few photographs. However, his camera was soon to become his inseparable companion, travelling with him and helping him to look at others and understand them.
Pierre is a man who has tried to enjoy his personal and professional life with optimism and commitment, without missing any opportunity to see, learn and understand what the world is like and showing others his own world.
